If Erik Zobler were a person to name drop, it would sound like a pile of pans falling down a concrete staircase. His credits include Michael Jackson, Miles Davis, George Duke, Whitney Houston, Al Jarreau, Anita Baker, Donna Summer, Natalie Cole, Stanley Clarke, S.M.V. and The Brecker Brothers, to name just a few.

His allmusic.com credits page lists 468 entries of records he has worked on as a sound engineer, mixing, mastering, producing or even performing. He has recorded and mixed music for movies including The Bourne’s Supremacy, Happy Feet, Mr. 3000 and others. He has also done live sound for George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Al Jarreau, Everette Harp, and Kenny Loggins.

Erik has won multiple Grammys [in 2000 and 2001, at ‘Best Vocal Jazz Album’ category for In The Moment - Live in concert and The Calling both performed by Dianne Reeves) and is a one time nominee [in 1996 at ‘Best Engineered Album Non-Classical’ category for Stardust performed by Natalie Cole)

Currently Erik is in Bucharest working for a project of a Romanian artist and he agreed to hold a music engineering worksop for local professionals.

The 3-hour workshop will take place Monday, October 30th, starting with 13:00 hrs, and will include a recording session with live musicians taking place at INES studios (97-105 Gheorghe Ionescu Sisesti blvd.) during which Erik will explain how to record live instruments in the studio, including recording techniques - from setting up the session to finishing and mixing the track.
